Besides the CEO of  IWEGA, Professor Firmino Mucavele (Eduardo Mondlane University) and the Scientific Director, Dr. Stefano Farolfi (CIRAD), others present were representatives from CIRAD, the National Directorate of Water (Mozambique), the Water Research Commission and the Department of Water Affairs (South Africa ) and the Water Science and Policy Center (University of California).
The agenda focused on the assessment of the activity of IWEGA, budget and funding issues and the adoption of the rules and the new status which should enable IWEGA to be fully integrated with the Eduardo Mondlane University (Maputo, Mozambique). The next meeting of the Board of Directors is scheduled for March 2013.
